When I travel, I take a camera. I like to take my time shooting - be in a place, discover its magic, or just watch the light change. I like to get up before dawn, go out and shoot and come back for breakfast. 
I also lug around too many lenses and stuff. The pictures on this site were done differently: All I had was my Nikon and a manual focus 105 mm f/4.0 macro lens that does not allow metering on the D100. So everything came down to reading the light and histograms.
